A new worm has been discovered. It is being called the Kodak Moment worm because it eats holes in rocks about the size of a 35 mm film cannister!

New info on the worm. In addition to the worm holes, new worm tracks have been discovered. Experts are in the process of decoding the tracks right now.

In all seriousness, the summer months are very busy for me and I desperately needed some "shop time" so I have been playing with the dremel tool and trying to come up with some challenging camo schemes. The other ideas I'll be keeping to myself!

I'm no Michaelango but this workshop activity and "the hunt" sure make geocaching a good deal of fun and a relaxing past time!

What kind of a sick individual would allow innocent rocks to be subjected to such abuse? http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d188/nonnipoppy/tounge-in-cheek.gif

I'm about to finish up on the rock project for now. Here is a rundown on how to abuse innocent rocks!

Smooth out a spot with a diamond wheel on a 4 inch grinder (http://www.bobcats.k12.ar.us/Step1.jpg)
Lay the template on the smoothed out spot (http://www.bobcats.k12.ar.us/Step2.jpg)
After tracing (http://www.bobcats.k12.ar.us/Step3.jpg)
Ready to start "carving" (http://www.bobcats.k12.ar.us/Step4.jpg)
Diamond tool in dremel (http://www.bobcats.k12.ar.us/Step5.jpg)
Fill in with magic marker! (http://www.bobcats.k12.ar.us/finished.jpg)

Man am I glad I read this thread the other night. A new cache near Montrose, CO (GCTY4F) used the Dremel carved coordinates on a rock lying the the middle of a parking area. Your photos made this a quick grab. Thanx.
