Congratulations http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd75/woodwalker9/wolf.gif Howlingmoon on your first finds. No matter how many finds any one of us have, we were all once right where you are now. There are a lot of great hides in the Springdale area and I'm sure it won't be long before you are racking up the big numbers. Best of luck to you and we'll be watching for those numbers to grow.

I was just thnking as I was reading this thread, that at one point at the Burns Park event, I was in a group that included Woodwalker, Hick, 4-Wheeling1, and Majii. That's nearly TEN THOUSAND FINDS between the four of them! WOW! Way to go guys! :D

Congrats Howlingmoon those FTF's are hard to come by. You keep up the good work and you will be looking at 100 very soon. Don't forget down the road to give back to the sport we all like to find but hiding is a very rewarding part of the sport as well. Reading others logs and reactions to your hide is great as well as finding a 5/5.
Keep going

Awesome accomplishment! Congrat's!!!
To B62, Everywhere I've read says to find 100 before you do your first hide. I have a lot of ideas for containers but, no ideas for locations of where to place my caches. lol I'm sure I'll get around to doing hides eventually. For now, I'm having fun finding. :)

Not really a normal milestone but, a big deal for me. I decided at 730am yesterday that I was going to Fort Smith to do some caching. I was on the road by 9am. I set a goal to find 30 caches. I did not find #30 'til 430am, and headed back home. I had to stop and get a little sleep, so I didn't walk back in the door of my house 'til 7am tis morn'. I was awake for about 30 hours, and traveled over 200 miles yesterday.

Congratulations Blueseybreeze on your 200th find. That is a great milestone for the short time you have been geocaching.
It took me a lot longer than 7 months for my 200th find.
And Howlingmoon, that personal best day of 30 caches is a milestone that you can be proud of. I've never done more than about 15 in one day.
Congratulations on the accomplishment . Now get some rest.

Congrat's, Bluesy!
Unfortunately, I don' think I ever got that way, OE. I was so lost in FS. The only time I've ever gone down there was to go straight to Crazy Earl's and the mall, then home. LOL I will go back again eventually, when I have the gas money to spare, and my body recovers. I am SO sore! lol Maybe next time I'll try for 50. :P And maybe I'll get a motel room or something so I can spend more than one day there. :) Thank you for the congrat's.

I actually have two milestones. #300 and my highest find in one day ~ 44 on the 19th.
I took a caching trip to Tulsa from 130am Friday 'til 230am Monday. I set a goal for myself to find at least 89 caches during the trip, which would give me 300 total finds. I accomplished my goal just seconds before midnight on the 19th. 300 finds in just over three and half months. And #300 was quite fitting. It was in a Wal-Mart parking lot on the six year "anniversary" of my leaving (stop working at) the Springdale Wal-Mart.
I have posted a commentary of my trip over at NWAC if anyone wants to read it. I'm still working on logging all my finds. lol

Congrats to Old River Runner for 2900 and Congrats to CPDenton for 1000 Way to go guy's
Thanks everybody. #1000 was a lot of fun. We got it on a trip to Wichita Falls, Texas while caching with the guys that first started me caching. We found 173 caches on the trip which included every cache in the city limits of Wichita Falls, that we could find. There were about 7 caches we think weren't there anymore or the hiding places weren't accessible. We even got a FTF while down there! That was a lot of fun too.
Great job to Frank for his 2900th cache too!

Thank you everyone for your congratulations. We found our 2000th cache over the weekend when a last minute opportunity presented itself and we made a trip to NE Texas and NW Louisiana. Had a great trip seeing beautiful country, some wildlife, and plenty of blooming wisteria vines and dogwood trees. Added 2 new states to our US map. Surpassed our previous one day high of 74 finds with an awesome 120 caches. Our total for the weekend was 270 smilies which is making us Smile :D . Didn't personnally meet any of the wonderful, dedicated cachers in that area, but have corresponded with them through email. They have some great cache loops and trails that are well maintained and creative. They made our first caching trip to TX an unforgetable, great trip. :) We hope to get back there again real soon. You will need a 4 wheel drive vehicle for this trip! :!:

Thank you for the kind words. We have had a blast as a family caching the last 10 months. We have made lifelong memories and have visited parts of the state we would have never seen without this great sport. What I value more than all of the milestones and cache finds is the people we have met along the way. You guys and gals of this great organization have gone out of your way to make us feel welcomed and always embraced us with open arms. What I like most about this sport is we didn't have to pass any milestone or find or hide so many caches or pass any probationary period before you guys welcomed us in. For that we are truly grateful. Many thanks to all the people who have had a part in hosting the many events we have attended as we have had a blast at each and every one of them and look forward to the next.
