2025 Arkansas GeoTrackable Race
438
As we celebrate Geocaching's 25th year, I thought it would be fun to run a little trackable race to see who can log the most miles traveled in 2025.
There is no fee to enter the race however you will need a trackable so you may need to buy one if you don't have one. The race is open to anyone but each racer must start its journey in a physical geocache (no events) within the state of Arkansas. All racers must be dropped between Jan 1 and Jan 31, 2025.
THE RULES:
• Most miles logged from Jan 1, 2025 to 11:59pm Dec 31, 2025 (central time) WINS!
• All racers must start with zero (0) miles and no logs.
• Drop your racer and let the fun begin!
• Monthly status updates will be posted on the ArkGeo fb page and website.
• All racers must be registered prior to entering the race (see below).
THE FINE PRINT:
This is meant to be a friendly competition so please, NO SHENANIGANS!
• Once you drop your trackable you cannot touch it again until the race is over.
• Family members should not move each other's racers.
• Racers must travel solely by geocachers from geocache to geocache so no mailing it to Aunt Edna in Timbuktu for the miles.
• If you run across another's racer in a cache you can move it along in a timely fashion or discover it. Please do not hold on to it!
• No virtual cache logging such as locationless caches, these logs should be deleted by the owner.
• No proxies - if your racer goes missing during the race, its race is over and you may not relaunch a proxy racer.
• Limit 2 trackables per geocaching(.)com account.
PRIZES: Winner receives a hearty Congratulations! from the group and bragging rights as the 2025 Arkansas GeoTrackable Race WINNER!
PARTICIPATION:
• Prepare your trackable racer for life in the wild. Give it a name and a goal.
• Register your trackable on geocaching(.)com. Your racer's page must include a clear close up photo of the trackable with its hitchhiker if it has one (don't show its code) and a statement that it is a racer in the 2025 Arkansas GeoTrackable Race.
• If reusing a previous trackable you must delete all logs and recalculate the mileage to zero.
• To Register your race; reply below with a link to your trackable's page to be added to the race roster.
On your marks....
