Ads on Listing Pages

Is it my imagination or have I just missed the fact that the listing page (Geocaching.com) has ads on the right hand column? I don't remember seeing ads there until recently. They bother me so its hard to believe I missed them until now.

They have been there all along. However, they used to be further down the page before the latest update to the look of the website.

They have been there for the entire time I have used geocaching.com

I use Chrome as my web browser and have added in the Ad Block extension. I don't get any of the third-party advertisers but do see the geocaching.com ads. It has really cleaned up my overall web browsing experience and speeds up loading the pages.
