State Park status report

We are working on the state parks. Plan on doing the Northeast quarter in July. We noticed Frierson seems to be missing. Questions: Does this happen often? How do we handle missing caches? Are there others Arkgeo folks know are also missing? Thanks.

I would recommend reaching out to the cache volunteers. ORR maintains a list of who watches which caches.

We emailed the two parks on our list where the cache had recent DNFs. They both responded as did the volunteers at Lake Frierson. Glad we checked in advance and glad to report the volunteer system works. Thanks to all who keep these caches up for us.

Northeast Arkansas State Park status report:
All were in place except Herman Davis. We replaced that one based on the location provided by friends we called to verify the correct location. Wish we could have moved Herman Davis since the location is so obvious and perhaps some local is taking it regularly. The office manager at Frierson reported that it did not have a volunteer. It is somewhat out of the way and a volunteer may be hard to find.
Parks with caches hidden on trails are somewhat more difficult because of summer growth. Most smart cachers would not choose July, but we do not qualify.
While in the area don't miss...Beatles Tribute on Walnut Ridge. AND 120 Miles Out of the Way just east of Wilson. A unique cache location for sure!
