OK - have looked around and haven't figured it out yet!
How do I stop being a "newbie" and put in something else?

Your site rank advances based on the number of posts. I think it stays at newbie until you've posted 10 messages or so.
Ok, I looked it up, and I've got newbie set at less than 10 posts.
From there it goes up... 2-star rank starts at 10 posts, and the 3-star bump comes at 25 posts.
I welcome suggestions for the names of the new ranks. Right now, they are a little silly, as I just made them up on the fly as I was configuring the site, but since nobody has gotten much beyond the 3-star rank, they haven't shown up. We can have up to 6 levels, and we can customize the threshold where you go from one to the next, and the names of each level. Newbie is the only one that is built in, but it can be changed too.
Like I said, suggestions are welcome.

Well, I see that we're now "New Members" instead of newbies. A few more posts should do it! 8)

It's also hard to get to ten post if you don't know anyone, like me. (Can you tell that I'm trying to though?)

Hello bullmonkeyboy, and welcome!
I go back to the days of blazing trails with Davie Crockett and I still feel like, type like, and sound like a newbie. Well except for collecting chiggers. I'm an old hand at that part of Geocacheing:wink:
I think we should be ranked by how many chigger bites we have. Well, maybe only those you can show
To my way of thinking  , If you ain't got chigger bites.....you ain't been to the best places in Arkansas. :P
Howdy bmb it won't be long and you will be up there with the rest of us :D newbies. :D
