I am new to the sport of geocaching and found this site while surfing and trying to learn more about the sport.
Our Hunt club has a number of members that are intrested in geocaching and I will post a link to the registration page.
Where would be a good place to start learning more about building and hiding a cache ?

Welcome, mountainborn! These forums are a great resource for anything related to geocaching. Most times, I can find someone who can help simply by posting a question, just as you have done. I've also found some good advice for assembling and hiding caches from several places. Here's where I would start for some good general information.
- Geocaching.com has a very good page on this at
http://www.geocaching.com/about/hiding.aspx
I also like CYBret's site. Lots of good information here!

If you have questions, please ask! Have fun!

Thanks for the welcome.
We have just started in the sport a few days ago, but this weekend we have logged six caches. Mostly in s/w Ar. and in s/e Ok. This is a great time of the year to be outdoors !

Welcome mountainborn
Glad to have new cachers down in my neck of the woods. When you go to Lake Greeson next month check out our caches there. Can't wait to see some new caches from you and your buddies. You hide it we'll come.
