The new ArkGeo banners for cache pages are GREAT!! This is exactly what I've been looking for. I would encourage ALL Arkansas geocachers to use these banners on all of their cache pages, so that everyone who visits your cache will see them!
Initially, I had put links for both the web page and the Yahoo! group on my pages, but now I've removed the Yahoo! links for several reasons: 1) The web page seems to me to be the best long-term solution. 2) It removes a level of confusion for potential members by having a single POC. 3) The web page has links to the Yahoo! group, if needed.

I added a banner to my cache pages last night. I figured why not put them on there to help spread the word about the new site. the more folks we get on here the better.

I like the new banners a lot as well. I just finished putting them onto my cache pages. Hopefully if a lot of people see these, it will get a lot more people onto this site and these forums.
Good work!

:D Got all of our cache pages updated to show the links. It was so much easier than I anticipated! It's been a loooong time since I've done HTML ! This was so easy and quick - thanks so much for all the work you've put into this - we really appreciate it.

As My Daughters would say the Banners are "FIRE" thanks for the great site and all the hard work.

Our banners look just like everyone else we need to make a banner like no one else has mabe something with movement, or something. It needs to be different .
Action Links.
If I knew how to do it I would.
Like maybe the Geocaching logo GX swirling at the x point.
I also added the link to my Home page at
ARK-MO-GEOCACHERS ASSOCIATION.
THANKS THIS IS WHAT WE REALLY NEEDED.

On the search page for the state, there is a place for organizations. Currently only two are shown under the Arkansas Cachers - Ark State parks and Ozark geocachers.
Suggest that the new banner is listed here.
The website is fantastic!

I have been to a few of the cache pages for some of you, but have not been able to see the new ArkGeo banner on the cache page.
Where exactly is it supposed to be?
If someone can give me an cache name that has it showing, so I can view.
Thanks,
Rousefam

Mine is on the bottom of my cache pages, at the end of the description section. You should be able to see it on this page:

I and some others have sent email to GC to get our link added, but no luck so far. They are supposed to be "workin' on it".

You can see it on all our cache pages. Here are the links for "Does This Ring A Bell?" (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=6671596b-1ada-47d6-aa32-d72d78d9e96a) and "Wild & Woolly" (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=74a7c4e2-1846-46ee-bc1c-cf595fbb6734). I LOVE THEM and highly recommend them to all Arkansas geocachers!

Well, I must be looking in the wrong place or it is not coming up when I go to the cache page for either Gaddiel or Ruffrider as you noted. :?
It maybe a glitch in the system as noted on one of the other logs.

Hey the new banners are "fire", or well since I'm not sure what that means, they are awesome. It was very quick and easy to place them on my cache pages. Thanks.

You know sometimes it takes a bit to teach an old dog a new trick. Could someone send me a PM and let me know how to get the banners on my cache page? I thought I knew how but I tried it, and no dice.......
Thanks,
Rusty

There's not a whole lot to it. The first thing you need to do when you edit your page is check the checkbox that says 'Use HTML'. Then you may have to redo your cache page in HTML formatting. That usually just consists of putting
and </P> tags before and after paragraphs. Then just paste the code for the banner into the page. That's it.

If there's any interest, I'll add the Ark Geo button to the Selector (http://www.9key.com/selector.asp).
Texas, NM, and Central Ohio are on there now.
With permission of the site / logo owner, of course. :)

Yes but I just was able to get back to this topic.
What do I have to do to use the SELECTOR now?
The first time I clicked the link it opened and now it won't?

Is it possible to post the banner in a note on a cache page? I have tried and can't get it to work. I really don't know how to use this code stuff but I am always ready to learn something new.
Thanks It worked.
Here is my first stab at it.

Is it OK to use it,the selector?
Now if I could just get the stats to work in my signature.

Awsome GEO I'm going to find out why you can not get it to work.
THANK'S ARKSTKRDUDE I am not that savy on html so it shows here.
I guess I can always do it like this.
http://www.geocaching.com/stats/img.aspx?uid=cfdc3327-0adb-446f-9d20-03bc0ac8e4d3
My stats don't change that much anyway.
EXCEPT ON BENCHMARKS.
Anybody or can we put up some type of Benchmark stats or page?
No sig that last time.HMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Any chance of getting a Travel Bug version of the banner?

Geo I have tried everything I know and can not get it to work on mine either. I have about decided that I just know enough to push a mouse button.

I've collected all the banners, including the new animated versions, onto a content page here:
http://www.arkgeocaching.org/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=2
This should make it easier to select the one you want.
My favorite small one is this one:
http://arkgeocaching.org/images/ArkGeoButtonGray3fade.gif
This one is good for cache pages:
http://ArkGeocaching.org/images/CacheBanner_full_ani2.gif
It blinks enough to draw attention, without being too annoying or too large to download.
The large banners with slow fade effects are pretty large files (over 100k), which will make them load slower. This one is only 25k.

When putting the banner or the selector on my cache pages, they appear right below my text :( even though I put several returns before putting in the code for the selector and banner. How do I get spaces to show up?

Try using
or
intead of just returns. That forces HTML line breaks or paragraph breaks respectively.
That is the "less than" symbol < and then "BR" or "P" followed immediately by the "greater than" symbol >. You do have to type the symbols, as they are what indicate it is an HTML command.
HTML compresses multiple blank lines or spaces down to just one space, if you don't use these commands to force breaks.
