IPhone Blues

Anyone here that uses the compass on an I Phone? I've been on the groundspeak IPhone section but didn't find anything related to the compass.
I don't think I had the current problem with the 3 version but know for sure I've had it since downloading the 4. verson.

Just wondering if someone knew where I could research this at or that used the compass themselves.

I don't trust the compass on my iphone, as it's a 3G, and was semi rigged into it as an app.
