    Snow trails

Just occurred to me, Caching in areas that retain snow on the ground would be kind of a giveaway wouldn't it? I know we have found several by the trails, spots where you can tell the leaves were compacted or just something that did not look natural. Like a pile of rocks. If you had a trail in the snow it would be evident where some one opened a can to do the necessary paperwork.

And not really a problem even now since for there to be a "snow trail" somebody would have had to have found in in the last 48 hours. I doubt that applies to very many caches, though that might change over the weekend.
