Geocaches near trails open to bikes

I recommend the Bona Dea Trail System in Russellville. It's open to walkers, runners, and bicyclists. I'm not sure what the trail surface is, but it's not asphalt and still perfect for bikes. The longest trail is 3.5 miles, but there are several variations that offer shorter distances. There are also several caches located here. I personally have 11 hidden along the trails or near the access points. For a couple, check out "Black Water Swamp" (GCKN87) and "Bullfrog Lullaby" (GCJ8GF). So bring your bike and GPSr and check it out! -- ORR

Cool. in four days we have a list of seven trails that are bicycle friendly and most have a cache or two on them. Some have quite a few caches on them.

This is great, lets fill in the unknown information and add to the list !
We may have something going on here.

Often times there are not enough cachers to stage vehicles at each end of a trail system. This makes it possible for a cacher to park along the way and travel by bicycle each direction without a lot of logistical support.
I notice no one had mentioned the Burns Park trail system. Any one know anything about it ?

Here's some more information about the bike trail in Conway:

Tucker Creek Walking / Bike Trail sits on 30 acres which lies between Salem Road and Reedy Road in West Conway. This trail is 1.2 miles long and runs east and west along Tucker Creek. It is paved and lighted and has benches along the way. Off of the Salem Road entrance there is a large parking area and one large pavilion. There are trail access points with parking at Bainbridge Park and the north side of the new Walmart at Hogan Lane. Web page here.

(Currently) only one cache along this trail: "Cycle Through Your Options" - GCGBEK
I get my directions from above.

Note on the 'Spadra Creek Trail': Only half of the trail (ie one side) is paved. The other side has a steep stair to climb at one end (by the bridge).

Also there are a few trails (unpaved) within Burn's Park' thet allow Bicycles. The trails might be rough on a
full fendered ol' folks beach cruisers
, but a good mountian bike should be okay.

The River Trail (Which passes through Burns Park) is a nice paved trail I forget the exact length, but there are plans to connect both sides of the river with a pedestrian bridge.

The Bona Dea Trail in Russellville is paved but a lot of it is cemented pea gravel instead of asphalt.

Hope this will help fill in the blanks for the Searcy bike trail. As far as I know, it's just called the Searcy Bike Trail.

I have been reluctant to place more caches along the trail because they would be long walks from parking areas. However, I would be more than happy to place several more if there is an interest in doing them on a bike.

This probably needs to be reorganised by city.
If it should grow large enough to warrant it I will build a web page.
