    MORE ARKANSAS HISTORY

Well while out today putting in a second cache,I got a good History Lesson on the S 5 Tunnel and the Landowner.

Dorthea Cash is the Daughter of E.A.Cash who worked for the railroad in the S 5 tunnel. She explained abouth the old house they used to live in at the site that has long since deteriorated. And the Crain and tool house right next to it,she use to go there with her Dad.

How that the Italians where the one's who hand dug the tunnel using Dynamite, picks and shovels.
In WWII the Airplanes flew right over the Tunnel area and Landed at the Airport just before you get to the cache area.

Her Brothers served in both wars One in the Pacific and one I Germany.
The sisters own the West end of the cave, the brothers the East.

AND FOR ALL OF THOSE WHO KNOW I HAVE A SPEECH IMPEDIMENT ON CACHE THE NAME OF THE CACHE WILL ALWAYS REMIND ME HOW TO SAY IT.

This map is good for the S 5 tunnel too.

You do not have to but stop by and ask Dorthea Cash for permission to go down the lane Please!!!

    National Geographis TOPO!!

They are the Interactive National Geographic TOPO!
    and TOPO SYNC!
You can add images to waypoints, and a bunch of other stuff I aint figured out yet.
Like your Delorme you can navgate in real time with it but I can not afford all the set up just yet.
After Christmas Maybe,Santa might be good to me this year.

The Trackmaker is even more awesome once you start figuring it out,you can add anything you want, even the 3-D maps and view your track logs.
