One question that I have, and I hope no one gives me grief over asking, its just my opinion and would like to know what others think. What do you think the ratio of finds to hides should be? Or should there be one?

Well Mountainborn I can answer the first question about our caches currently active in Arkansas. Our numbers are:
Large - 1
Micro - 21
Not Chosen - 2
Regular - 18
Small - 7
I am sure that Grandkid 38 currently has the most active caches in Ark.
As far as your question about ratios, We believe there are far to many variables to have a set ratio. Such as:
How much area can you effectively cover?
How dense is the current cache population?
How many can you work into your budget?
Personally we appreciate every cache that is out there. The prettiest places we have ever seen in Arkansas we as a result of seeking caches. Who knows if the next one will be the prettiest place we have ever seen?
This weekend we did a couple of caches that took 1+ miles hike and some beside the road. We loved them all. The Ozarks were gorgeous in the spectacular fall colors this year.....poppy
