A little Holiday fun for a wintery day! Enjoy!

    G P S G P S
    Showing us the way
Oh what fun it is to find
    A difficulty 4 cache

    G P S G P S
    Showing us the way
We found this one now lets move on
    And complete this caching dash

    Caching through the Snow
    In a 2-Wheel Drive Jeep
    Through the woods we go
    Caching all the way

    Notes in caches write
    Making owners cry
(because they are laughing so hard)
Oh what fun it is to hunt
And sing a caching song tonight

    G P S G P S
    Showing us the way
Oh what fun it is to find
    A difficulty 4 cache

    G P S G P S
    Showing us the way
We found this one lets move on
    And complete this caching dash

In case you haven't figured it out it's sung to Jingle Bells!

    Happy Holidays!!

    Here's One...

To the tune of "Merry Christmas To You":

Always boasting o're an open fire
'Bout the caches we have found,
Some rigged up with cables and wire
Some were square and some were round

Everybody knows a poker and a light that glows
Help you be the first to find
Even though it's been hid by the best in the land
    We'll find it easily tonight.

We know Poppy's on his way
He says we'll need every hint in the book today
And every cache we've found by this guy
Has been like a needle in a haystack this high.

So I'm confident of this, I say
"We don't need no stinking clue!"
But now I've been searching many hours, many days
And I CAN'T FIND IT! I CAN'T FIND IT! Can YOU???
I get my directions from above.

It only took about 10 minute to come up with that. It started with an idea and grew into that. I'll try to come up with another one before Christmas.

Tis the reason to go hunting
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Don we now our warm apparel
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Hiking through the parks and forrests
Fa la la la la, la la la la

See the hiking trail before us
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Hike the trail and enjoy the forrest
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Take the route is the shortest
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Which will lead to hidden treasure
Fa la la la la, la la la la

    Poem

This one is from "A Friend". Hope everyone enjoys.

    The Day Before Christmas

    'Twas the day before Christmas
    And I was out Cach'n
    I was searching for a 4 star
And my head I was scratching

    When back behind me
    There arose such a clatter
    I looked in the bushes
To see what was the matter

    An ammo box
    Leaning against a tree
    It was well camoed
And was very hard to see

    It was shaking and jumping
    Rocking side to side
    I could tell right away
    There was something inside

    I pulled up the latch
    And opened the lid
    There under the log book
    Something was hid

    I gently reached in
    And lifted it out
    A little ol Elf
    And he began to shout

    Oh please don't hurt me
    I've done nothing wrong
Some man put me in here
    And it's been so long

He put this tag around my neck
And he pulled it real snug
As he put me in this box
    He called me a "bug"

    He said "You'll go far
And see lots of new places
    All kinds of new country
    And lots of new faces"

    I don't want to travel
    I'm not a bug but a gnome
    I don't like new places
I just want to go home

    Please let me go
And I'll tell you what I'll do
    I'll give you a wish
And I'll make it come true

    Money or fame
    What will it Be?
    It can all be yours
    Just for setting me free

So I told him my wish
    And let him go free
    It made me very happy
For what He had given me

    Money or Fame?
    No that's not for me
It could all be gone tomorrow
    Then where would I be

My wish was a simple one
And I know it will come true
    It's all I could want
Now I'll tell it to you

    I wished all cachers
    Both far and near
    A very Merry Christmas
    And a Happy New Year

    MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL

I remembered this thread and thought I'd bump it back for those who haven't seen it. Enjoy.

Thanks for the bump, WW9. It was good to read them all over again. I really enjoyed them. However, when you mess with "Deck us All With Boston Charley" you are treading on sacred territory.

Take time to smell the roses and love the grandkids.

Twas the month that contains Christmas,
    When all over town, (Searcy)
    Caches just keep popping up,
    Just waiting to be found.

Woodwalker in his souped up Ford,
    Geojeepers in their jeep,
    Hondacacher in his Honda,
    A rodeveouz to keep.

    Searcykid in his Buick,
    And KD5JNL on his bike,
    Head to some appointed spot,
    Where others like to hike.

Who will be the First to Find?
We all know who that'll be.
    If Woodwalker didn't hide it,
    It will certainly be he.

    Santa says to Everyone,
As he plans to head our way,
Searcy is the place to go,
    For Caches, night or day.

Searcy is the place to look,
    For Caches near and far,
They'll hide them there for you to find,
From bike, in truck, or car.

(With an apology to real poets everywhere)
