I have no camping equipment whatsoever. Not sure about sleeping on the ground but I guess a good air mattress and sleeping bag would make it better.
What would be there nearest area to get a motel and drive back and forth each day. I plan on staying Fri, Sat. & Sun.

I think there is a lodge on the mtn. with rooms, but not sure. Might be high-priced. Dardanelle, about a dozen miles NW, has at least 1 old'ish motel, but still a decent place to stay with decent prices. Russelville, a couple miles across the river, has everything from $20/hour specials to $300/night honeymoon suites.

Morrilton, a similar, perhaps just a bit shorter distance to the NE, is set up pretty much like Russelville is.

You could buy a tent, sleeping bag and air mattress for almost the price of one night at a motel and not have to drive back and forth ..
