Ditto. There are degrees of wet logs. I replace a log if it is mush, and discard the mush. If the log is thoroughly waterlogged and unsignable, but not quite mush, I'll replace the log and leave the old one in there. If it is damp, but signable, I'll try to dry it a little, then replace it. I've never come across a cache owner who wanted the old log, but I do always inform them that I performed maintenance. I've thought about taking it from the cache and sending it to the CO, but I find that they just prefer that I don't go through the trouble.
