I called Garmin yesterday 16 June 08, After trying this and trying that, The tech Rep decided the unit was defected. I will receive return info with-in 24 hours. Thanks to AR-Hick, woodwalker and BSA...

I show my new Garmin to AR-Hick and Woodwalker, and I think they decided that the unit was defected, The compass needle did not show for them either.

I can not get my new Garmin to work correctly, When I try to use the compass mode the pointer is not there, all I get is= ..... ....., no arrow will show. What am I doing wrong?

I have a new Garmin and would like to know what zoom level do you all use while searching for a cache?

I started out with the sportrak pro, I got so tired of the unit not operating correctly in the trees, I went to the 60cx, nice, I can now download coordinates directly to my GPS and the Sportrak...

Do not get me wrong, I like this site but It is giving me fits, I am able to post sometime, able to change between post to post sometimes and able to post a reply sometimes but mostely I get that...

I have a new one but never used it. My sportrak gets on my nerves due to the "slingshot Effect" that the sportrak is well known for.

Paris, I have a Magellan sportrak pro but I have noticed these units are very bad with the "slingshot effect". The wife will get me a Garmin for Father's day,I am looking at the 60CX or the 60CSX....
