New to this site and to Geocaching and have a question

I wish to calibrate my Delorme pn40 to be as accurate as possible. How do I locate a benchmark near me and find the exact elevation of that benchmark?

If you notice on geocaching.com one of the choices on the left is "Find a Benchmark". You can put in your zip code and get a list of benchmarks in your area. If you can locate one it should have the altitude engraved on it. Sometimes the description has it too.

Thanks to both of you. I found a benchmark near my home and calibrated the unit.
