welcome. Unfortunately, I'm on the OTHER side of I-40, but you could try to send a note or two to local cache owners to see who all is currently active and arrange to meet them.
better yet, have a small meet and greet event at a nearby restaurant...that way you'd get to meet a lot of cachers.
