Thought it might be good to have a topic where we could all post new caches in our area for the rest to see, ask questions about, get hints or whatever. Also maybe to post those that we know of that are under the weather or archieved.

We had three new caches placed in Baxter County over the weekend. Two by Harleyhogs (Forest Shores Cache #2) and Gaston's Wildflower Meadow Cache and one by us (Cooper's Last Stand) .

We hit Gaston's Wildflower and it's great. Found our first yellow jeep there. Haven't tried Forest Shores #2 yet - looking forward to it. We think that Cooper's Last Stand is a "little" bit different from other caches around here - and hope that it's a fun one!

One cache (The Tackle Box) was archieved. Think the rising lake floated it away.

Two new multi-caches will be coming out shortly so stay tuned!

There are 5 new ones in Marion (Marion 5) and one between Marion and Memphis (Lonsome Pine).

More will be out as soon as I get back from vactationing with family (I plan to geocache in 4 states while I am gone).

I can't find the regions map but I think Stone County is in the Northeast region. I placed a new cache in Mountain View yesterday and it's in the approval process now. Look for Amphi Phun to appear soon.

It's in the Northeast region but it's a long way from Marion, chili man.

I have a season pass to the Ozark Folk Center and go there every couple of weeks. Maybe I'll place other caches in coming visits. Only trouble is, I cant record finds on my own caches.

It is almost time to go backpacking.....I will be headed up to the Mountain View/Sylamore Creek/Buffalo River area before long. I will make sure I stop for a couple of caches on the way to and from.

Update from the weekend -

Harleyhogs put out 4 new ones and they're all terrific! We hit all 4 (plus his previous Forest Shores #2) over the weekend and had a great time with them. Take bug juice definately on McKillip Trail - seed ticks await but it's a great hike in a little known park. The Ackerman River Ridge is in one of those fantastic spots that make you wonder why you haven't been there before. His Pigeon Creek Mtn. Bike Trail took us to a different side of the trail than we've been to before - didn't even know it was there. The Wolf House is always one of our favorites - and this time we learned even more about it. Forest Shores #2 is on one of our favorite parts of the lake.

Greg & Christy put out their multi on Gaston's Ozark Trail - we haven't hit it yet but will real soon (on a cooler day). We always look forward to their hides.

And we finally finished up our White River Nature Trail multi. It's also at Gaston's so you can hit several within a short distance.

We started a new Event Cache today that we're really excited about. It's JAKES Event and it's to introduce young people to geocaching. It's part of a large group effort and this is the first year that geocaching has been involved. Hope to see lots of you here!

I'm working on 5 at the moment to have clues to a 6th in Wynne. They aren't quite ready but, soon....
