Congratulations StickerDude! You hit the big 500! :D

We knew it wouldn't take you long - bet you're already on your way to 1000! Looking forward to seeing you at JAKE's so we can celebrate it!

We're posting this to a new thread thinking maybe one thread could cover all caches that were a milestone to one of the members. Maybe not only in the numbers - but a special find for some reason or other.

Mountainborn, congratulations on your 100th find. Of all my milestone caches, I remember my 100th the best. Where and how it was hidden, the container, almost the time of day I found it. There is just something about number 100 that makes it a special find. I look forward to seeing you reach your next milestone cache. Happy caching.

High 5, mountainborn!

Seems like it takes forever to get that first 100! But finally, you get it! Then it seems like they just keep rolling in! Guess we really get in the mode then! Or something!

At least it was that way with us! Didn't think we'd EVER get 100 - now the rest seem to have come really fast! Of course, back in the good old days (tongue in cheek) we didn't have nearly as many caches to find so really had to look for them! And go uphill both ways in the snow to get them!

We're sure we'll see your cache count go up and up - next thing you know we'll be having to post again!

May you have many more terrific experiences while you're caching!

Another huge milestone cache find. Yesterday, while caching in the Little Rock area, Topkitty made her 400th find. Quite an accomplishment. Way to go my friend. I'm very proud of you for your persistence and determination.

2,000 finds???
2,000 finds in one life time?

Good grief Poppy, but I can see what you were talking about now.
I load 500 new caches into my GPS and I only reach as far as North Little Rock.
You load 500 new caches into your GPS and you reach as far as Albuquerque.

Way to go and what a perfect cache to mark as #2K. Maybe we can celebrate your 5,000th 8O and my 100th  at about the same time.

Way to go Nonnipoppy and Golfnutz!

Congrats Poppy I can not believe you got there before Golf did. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

nonnipoppy
09-13-2005, 09:22 PM
Thanks to all of you for your kind words.

Nonni deserves a lot of credit for abiding the habit/obsession.

Golf deserves some credit for the competition between us. That keeps me watching and caching.

But the real credit belongs to all you cachers that have or will have placed caches in Arkansas. Cache find numbers are easier to obtain with more caches in the area.

Not all that long ago there were less than 300 caches in the state, now there is over 500 that we haven't found and the number keeps growing. Just keep placing them and they will come.

Well personally I think you should have more finds then I do just to be allowed to post congrats to these people or to be on this same page but since I snuck in here before you changed the rules….Congrats Mr. Walker, it couldn’t have happened to a better person and I’m looking forward to seeing what is your choice for find number *1,000*.
I thought Poppy’s 2,000th was a perfect choice but now I’m wondering what will be his choice for 3K.
Sorry I haven’t noticed others choices, topkitty, cachcrazies, twooldcrows, stickerdude, mountainborn, etc. for those milestone caches but now that my numbers are soaring [;)] I’m starting to think about it.

Thanks, We have enjoyed every one of them. We just got back from Branson and found a few up there. Stopped by Nearer the Throne cache on the way home. Got to see and take a picture of our first Arkansas Elk.
Stopped in Russellville and finally found "Cousin Eddie" and did some of ORR caches on the Bona Dea Trail. 3/12 miles. It has been a fun day.

The best thing for me about geocaching as been the friends that I have made along the way. It was certainly an honor for me that the Cachemates, two very nice people who have made a great contribution to geocaching in Arkansas, choose Searcy for their 400th cache find. Congratulations guys and thank you for all the fun I've had hunting your caches.

I think I’ve figured out it’s better to type “congrats WW9 on 800 finds” instead of “Congratulations Woodwalker9 on your 800th find. Way to go.“

Because if you spend the time to spell it all out, you are already a hundred behind. So…

900 Cgrats WW9 :D

400 Cgrats Cmates :D

400 Cgrats ICman :D

Did I get those typed in time or am I already behind?

Even though I know that numbers don't really mean anything to him, I want to express my congratulations to BACKPACKNJACK on his 100th find. As we all know, BPJ has made a great contribution to Arkansas geocaching. He has certainly added to my enjoyment of the game and for that I thank him. Way to go Jack and best wishes on your next 100.

We too would like to congratulate BPNJ on his 100th find. We also know numbers don't mean much to BACKPACKINGJACK but hope he enjoys his next 100 even more than the first. If you have ever been on one of his Mouse Hunts you know he enjoys geocaching and has added to it in Arkansas. He has taken the Mouse to some very interesting places around the state. Keep on Caching BPNJ.

BACKPACKNJACK
12-27-2005, 09:16 AM
Thanks. I guess it was about the numbers this time  because out of the clear blue sky I decided I was going to get in 100 finds before Christmas.
A bear destroyed one of my cache sites and the camo was stripped off of (stolen from) some of my other caches so between repairs and scouting for the mouse hunt I decided I wasn’t getting to cache enough so I decided this was going to be my present to me. I later added a new camera for Christmas also.
Good thing I decided “Before Christmas” instead of before “New Years” because I’ve been stuck at home with wunny eyes, a feeber in my head, a toad in my nodes, and a thor twote. I'm sooooo tired of chicken soup :(

Woodwalker9
12-27-2005, 12:28 PM

Big high five to BPNJ for his milestone! He's added a lot of enjoyment and entertainment to our game also for which we thank him muches & lots!

BPNJ - there's nothing worse than a toad in your nodes!! As for the chicken soup - just add a bunch of jalapenos. Once you stop choking you won't notice your thor twote as much!

A HUGE congratulations to the Cachecrazies on their 700th find. You guys have been on fire lately. I also notice that one of your finds was Mingo(GC30), one of the original caches. That is fantastic especially since another of the original caches is in your hometown of Mt. Home(Gorilla Stash GC1B). Great job guys. Way to go.

Thanks so much Woodwalker! You have an eagle eye! And before I go any further - Congratulations to Everyone on their accomplishments! I won't go into each one individually but every milestone is a MAJOR milestone! May you enjoy each and every one of them as much as Bob and I have done! Geocaching has definately brought a new dimension to our lives and I hope it does to yours! Great caches to find, breath-taking views to be seen and once in a lifetime friends to be found! What more could anyone ask for?

We absolutely loved our "vacation". We HAD to go to Denver for our daughter's pinning as an R.N. (proud mommy that I am I just had to include that!) so that served as a vehicle for a 7 state, 2400 mile, 85 caches trip that was fantastic! We saw extinct volcanos, we saw historical sites, we saw amazing things that make you ask "How does it do that?", we saw places in Denver (where we lived for most of our lives) that we hadn't known existed in BC days (before caching). One was even in our old neighborhood! We even took Grandma (80) and a young nephew out for their first caching experiencees.

Knowing that our time was limited we concentrated on easy finds and virtuals. We love virtuals because they almost always teach you something that you didn't know! Mingo was first and foremost on our list! We've wanted to do it since we started caching and now we had the opportunity! Ironic since the Gorilla Stash was our very first cache! We would have liked for Mingo to be a milestone for us but that was not to be. The one we chose for our 700th lay ahead of us in Oklahoma City and we bypassed lots of caches to make this work out right. The best find for us was the OKC Memorial site. It was so awesome that we spent the night in Oklahoma City as we stayed there much longer than we thought we would. If anyone ever can - this is definately a MUST DO! Of course, we're "mushy" people but this one can tear anyone's heart out!

To diverge into the GeoWoodstock post - I don't know how they did it! We hit 85 caches in 2 weeks and we're exhausted!!!! They're gonna need some TLC when they get home!

It does our old heart good to see the new cachers that are getting involved and caching. The new blood can do nothing but help the game.
The number of caches in the state seems to be on a steep incline and we see lots of real quality caches in Arkansas.

Congratulations to all. We hope that you are enjoying your caching as much as we do regardless of the number of caches that you find. It is not always the number of caches you find but the fun you have while seeking them. With apologies to Geezer "Take time to smell the roses, that you choose to smell, and love the grandkids."

We also really enjoy the good natured rivalries that appear here from time to time. Happy caching to all...........poppy

I don't log on here nearly as often as I should, so I'm generally way behind the times. Congratulations to Woodwalker, Topkitty, JCBlough, as well as any others that I have missed. May all your future finds bring you as much pleasure as those to date. Keep on Keepin' on.

Thanks woodwalker, we had a great time in Northeast Arkansas. We got to see a part of Arkansas we had never been to before. We went with some of the best cachers I know. rklmbl, now this couple knows how to work together like a team. They have it down to an art. They also reached their 3600 cache some where along the way. We found 95 caches.
We were to tired to log from the Motel, so it has taken me a week to get them logged.

We got to meet and have lunch with Tech Guy and the Missus + their daughter. We enjoyed that. We found some very good caches that we would highly recommend to others. We were impressed with the quality of some of the caches we found. Lots of work went into placing them.

The first day of the trip, Bonnie got to find her cache in Searcy that you placed for her. That was a special cache for us both. Thanks for that one.

Congrats, to Topkitty for her 800th on that cache. Congratulations to jcblough for 100 finds, AR-HICK for 200 finds and rklmbl for a whopping 3600 finds. And anyone else I might have missed. Way to go.

Believe me when I say that you will never meet a nicer couple of couples than Cachemates and RKLMBL! We consider it a great pleasure to have been able to visit with folks who are as pleasant as they are good geocachers. If you ever run across these folks, you owe it to yourself to spend some time with them. Keep your eye on RKL though, he's a sly one! :)

Congratulations on your milestone caches!

Two new Searcy cachers, KD5JNL and frojiles, have only been caching for a few months and have already reached 100 finds. Some of my milestones I remember and some I do not, but I believe I will always remember number 100. I don't really know why that milestone sticks out, but it does.
Congratulations guys on a great job and I hope you have as much fun on your next hundred as I did on mine. Keep up the great work.

Thanks Guys. We wanted our 1000th cache to be one of the many great Arkansas caches, but we were in Indiana when it happened. Picking up Posies was the name of the cache. We found several cemetery caches while we were there.
Congrats to the on fire Searcy cachers KD5JNL and frojiles for their big milestone cache.
We have enjoyed the long trail to 1000. I know we will enjoy the ones to follow.

Oh ye master of all cachers, I bow to your superior talents.

I received a text last night that there were two new ones in Searcy to which I replied, what's wrong with you? Why aren't you out there hunting? The Cache Master Extraordinaire replied, " I am on my way back!"

Congratulations on number 2400 in the dark of night!
