We can't wait for next year. This is going to be fun. We have family and friends in Colorado, so it looks like it might be a week long or more trip for us!

Chatfield is a nice venue, though can be quite warm in July. Plan to attend God will'in...

This year was an exact opposite of last year. It was beautiful weather! Highs in the 70's and lows at night in the 40's and 50's! Only rained 1 day out of the 7 I was cachin'! Ask this guy if he had a jacket or even a long sleeve shirt! Back on topic, I'm looking forward to next year and do plan on camping in a tent. Reid, how far away from you are these events taking place?

Hmmm, about 275 miles and 5+ hours with a trailer. Don't know enough about the reservation window at Chatfield or other options for camping south of Denver at this time, but will investigate.

I talked to the guys from Denver after they announced it at GWS. They said there is only a 6 month advance reservation policy in place and being a major holiday I sensed they were kinda leery about it. He said he had been in contact with some of the "powers that be" but hasn't got anywhere yet. He talked about booking the majority of the park and geocachers getting from them the sites so they would be guaranteed and he also said there was talk about extending the 6 month check in window but further said it is government so you know how slow it is...
