I just had to post becasue I am so excited for my kids. They have made me so proud of them. They represented Mt. Ida very well at the Engineering Olympics today in Little Rock. Team 1 took 2nd place in the quick stop racers, 2nd place in critical thinking, 3rd place in toothpick bridges and 1st place overall!!!! Team 2 took 1st place in toothpick bridges, 6th place in critical thinking, and 4th place overall!!!!!

Thanks and I sure will pass it along to the kids. It was hardwork and dedication of both teams that paid off.

Flannelman, it was held on the campus at UALR on the 25th.

Because they did so well, we have been ask to attend another competition in Bryant. This one we not only have to have the quick stop racers but also have to make CO2 dragsters and balsa bridges. So we are back to the research stage again as we have never made either before.

Cool! I am partial to UALR since I graduated from there. They have a pretty good engineering department.

I was impressed with UALR and the kids had a great time. Several kids are interested in going to their engineering camp this summer.

I bet it would be good. UALR has invested a lot of money in technology and resources for the students. I really enjoyed my time there. The engineering instructors were very helpful to me.
