GPX 1.0 versus GPX 1.01

I noticed in my settings on geocaching.com that I had a choice between downloading GPX 1.0 or 1.01. I am currently set up for 1.0. I was just wondering what the 1.01 was and if I needed to be using it? I use my HTC EVO phone for my GPS right now. I know I need a real GPS, but we are a one income family of 5, and we can't geocache naked! :D
