Here's wishing a Happy and Prosperous New Year to everyone.

My New Year's Resolution is to find at least one cache in every county in Arkansas and along the way make pictures of scenic areas in each county. I would like for everyone to leave messages in this thread giving me the most interesting and picturesque cache and non-cache site in counties you are familiar with. Thanks for your help.

We don't have a huge number of caches under our belt (yet), but I just have to mention a beautiful area that I explored recently with RockHound near Harriet, AR (Searcy county).

We went there to find the Little Glory Hole (N 36 02.905 - W 092 23.162), a very picturesque waterfall that runs through a hole in the rocks. You can drive to within about 0.15 mile, but it's a pretty tough climb on the way back out. By the way, there are several nice little falls in this area, and at least one or two caches up there. You'll see lots of beautiful and unspoiled (for the most part) classic Arkansas wilderness.

In Faulkner couinty, I'd have to vote for a fantastic view of the Arkansas River from the lookout near Rusty-da-dog's RP & KG 1 (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=5066806f-17d8-4aee-af50-a063a66004f5) cache. Some of the park has been closed recently due to some "unhealthy and disgusting" behavior :x , but with the help of local geocachers, we are taking it back...

Here are a few caches in southwest AR. I think you would like, and each has its own beauty. Hickory Nut Mt. GCGFPQ is located on the Montgomery-Garland line it has a great view of Lake Ouachita.
Winding Stairs GCHQ2Q is one of our caches it is on the little missouri river and a very pretty area but it is kinda hard to get to. If you need a ride in to the area I can provide that.
Another cache in the general area as WS. is Watch Tower Hike GCJ5V1 it is in Polk Co. and on top of tall peak mountain. On a clear day you can see forever. It is worth the walk to see this old tower. You can also get a benchmark there, even though I didn't get it when I was there. That means another trip for me. Each of these caches has something different to offer and all are great areas. Hope you get to find them.
