This is not done enough. I would like to pat the back of our reviewer. ChuckWalla has done an outstanding job for this region. I know I have had some situations that needed attention and ChuckWalla has pulled through and helped me a great deal to get things right. The lightening fast speed of the approval process is greatly appreciated as well. I just turned in a cache to be approved and 4 minutes later, I am serious, I had emails coming in with approval messages on them. This has happened on many occasions, most of my 22 caches hidden have been approved within the hour.

Now only if Quartzcacher and Likes2canoe could give ChuckWalla a little break.http://bestsmileys.com/lol/4.gif
(Don't take offense to that, I couldn't resist)

Yea, Dentful I have had some of my caches approved in record time too. Chuck Walla does us a great service. Thanks CW!!
We just found your new cache. Probably within 15 minutes of listing.
Love these close to home caches.

Gee, you're making me weepy ...

Seriously, all I can say, is You're welcome!!! You've all kept me hopping lately, especially in July (see my post in the By The Numbers topic). Please be sure to tell Groundspeak to double - naw, triple - my pay!

Thanks CW for all that you do. Although I know that no thanks is necessary due to the overwhelming monetary compensation that you receive from Groundspeak. Maybe everyone should get together and unanimously decide to not hide any geocaches in Arkansas for one week.

....yeah right. :P

I just have to pitch in on this thread and also thank CW for all they do. It has to be hard work to keep up with all those new listings and making sure they meet the guidelines. Thanks so much and keep up the good work!

Pitching in my thanks also!

I do miss the cool way she/he used to write that a cache was approved - know what I mean, Chuck?

Oh yeah!! I'd BETTER chip in on this thread! After dropping twenty new caches the same week as the park caches came out, I was pretty sure I'd be banned from placing any more, at least until Chuck's keyboard quit smokin'! I would absolutely agree with Dentful1, I have been entering caches to be published before, and before I was finished with the last one, the first two were published already! That's service! Thanks a million Chuck! We all appreciate all you do! :D :D :D

I guess I should jump on the bandwagon.
Chuck has done me many favors on several occasions.
I have thanked CW via e-mail many times and even poked and tried to aggravate CW a little bit in fun.
We could have one of those Roast for CW like Dean Martin used to have to really show how much we appreciate what CW does for us.
CW would have to show up, and we could use it for a fundraiser for ArkGeo.

CW has published more caches than anyone else in Arkansas and has helped Arkansas Geocaching more than any other single person. Thanks for all you DO.
Just send me an e-mail and I will get the Roast started.

CW has been very helpful to ArkGeo on several occasions and I'm sure that much of what CW does is never seen by most.

Thanks, CW, for your huge part in making geocaching in Arkansas even better! You're a great reviewer!

Chuck has been a great help to me with the ParkCache Challenge. I couldn't have done it without him.

I offered him a beer next time he's in town. If we all do that we could get him drunk enough to take advantage. Oh heck, we pretty much already take advantage of him.

Well, I haven't exactly taxed Chuck as much as some others here, but I've always appreciated the work that goes into reviewing and publishing caches. I've even occasionally sent Chuck an e-mail saying as much. Hopefully pretty soon I'll require his/her services on a few cache ideas I've been working on.

Thanks a lot Chuck!! Hopefully I'll be putting you to work next week. I'm meeting with a rep at Lake Ouachita SP to get some new caches approved out there. That is such a nice place! It needs some more caches and I know CW will make sure they are all legit before approving them. Thanks for the good work! :D

I want to add my thanks to our reviewer, Chuck Walla, also. He / She / It(?) :? has played a key role in advancing geocaching in Arkansas by meeting the growing output of our cache hiders! And thank you for your work with the Arkansas State Parks in getting the ParkCache series out!

Keep up the good work and know always that you have our respect and gratitude!

:? Gee - seems like only a few months ago that you were being trashed in these same forums over power trails!!!! :D
Oh, how fickle we can be!

Brought this back from the thread grave yard in honor of ChuckWalla and to help stir interest in an appreciation event in his honor coming up in a couple of weeks.

event url:
http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_de ... eaee4239d1 (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=96d9c9ac-4081-4644-b6ad-cbeaee4239d1)
Event ID:
GC1V9T9

I looked, but I did not see any thread started about the appreciation event.

I know I'm looking forward to the event and being able to do some caching in the area. Its been several slow months since GeoWoodstock and I can't seem to get much caching done. Hopefully I can make up for lost time next weekend.

I had heard about this cache (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=7739021e-df36-4eb5-8254-e7049d2f43c8&log=y&decrypt=) but today was the first day I took a look at it.

It is great that our reviewer is even getting recognition in other states including this log entry from the cacher who placed it:
Checked on the cache this morning, and it's still there. This is a prototype hide for me, I've learned a lot from this test cache and will be improving it in a few weeks. And, just to clear things up, I like chuck walla, this cache is the hardest one I've hidden, and it's to honor him. I'm glad he doesn't let Arkansas get trashed with skirt lifters and random caches, he's a good man who's by the book, and for that he's keeping the natural state beautiful. Good luck to all who search for this cache.

The cache is Chuck You Walla GC1V7KV (http://coord.info/gc1v7kv)

Thanks again Chuck for all you do!

paris.....let's just say that those of us in the Fort Smith area are going to be glad when he goes back to Texas.

I could list all sorts of things he's done, but it's not worth the time to write them all.

:) and plus I want to be nice....for now.
